Import of various grains and feed ingredients
Due to the shortage of livestock nutrition in recent years, the import of animal feed ingredients from various countries has become a significant part of Iran's total imports. Animal feed ingredients include various products, with oils being used to increase milk production, fattening, and reproduction in livestock.
The import of grains and various animal feed ingredients is relatively more cost effective and economical for us. Our country imports grains such as corn and barley from countries like Argentina, Romania, Brazil, Cameroon, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Additionally, soybean meal is sourced from India and Brazil. Ultimately, the import costs of each of these ingredients vary depending on the quantity and the country of origin.
